Northern Thailand Coffee Adventures

3 Unique trips

In Northern Thailand, Coffee harvest season is usually from the end of November to February. We will visit Yao & Aka Hill Tribe villages, roastery, cafe ,Hot Spring and Singha Nature Park. You can enjoy Hill Tribes Village,Picking up Coffee Cherry,Coffee Processing,Drying,Brewing,Cupping ,Activities In Hot Spring &Nature Park.

Thai Coffee Production started under the leadership of Royal Project just around half century ago. Thai Coffee has progressed remarkably in recent years. Thai Coffee beans receive a high evaluation among not only Thai (SCATH) but also SCA & SCAJ Q Grader. Some Farmer’s beans get a high score(83~84). They are heading for Cup of Excellence. Thai Coffee Production started under the leadership of The Royal Project just around half a century ago . The coffee farm is now under the control of the third generation.Having been started by their parents and grand parents.

Northern Thai Coffee Farmers have been producing Coffee without any restriction. Big Coffee Plantation a few in Northern Thailand. Especially, Small Coffee Farmers are highly independent minded. 

Joining THAILAND COFFEE ADVENTURE 2019/2020, will allow you to experience Thai Coffee Growing History, Picking cherry, Processing,Brewing ,Tasting, Roasting & Hill Tribe Village Life. 
Additionally, you can enjoy Nature,Hot Spring,Thai foods and so on.

THAILAND COFFEE ADVENTURE 1 (4 days / 3 nights): December 2nd - December 5th 2019

Day 1

Learn about Thai Coffee at The Royal Project in Chiang Mai. Then we will visit Coffee Farm in Hill Tribe Village and even pick your own cherries.

Day 2

We will start our day with an adventure to Lisu Village, followed by a Coffee Farm Trekking around Hot Spring. In the afternoon we will depart to Chiang Rai

Day 3

Let's start our third day, brewing coffee at Cafe in the sky. Then we will be visiting Akha & Lisu Mixed Village with Coffee Farm. At the farm we will experience all the process of making a great cup of coffee: picking cherries  & processing

Day 4

Recreation Day: Phuu Chii Faa Mountain and White Temple. Then back to Chiang Mai

THAILAND COFFEE ADVENTURE 2 & 3 (5 days/4 nights): 

December 11th - December 15th 2019

January 8th - January 12th 2020

Day 1

On the way to Nan, we will start our tour by visiting a Coffee Roastery in Lampang. Then we will go to Northern Cafe @Wiansa Coffee before enjoying a Tasting Experience


Accommodation in Nan

Day 2

We will start our second day by visiting a  Coffee Farm in Hmong Village, then a unique Cacao Farm Experience. Accommodation at Cacao Resort

Day 3

Adventure to Doi Phu Kha National Park and Bo Kluea(Ancient Salt).Depart to Phrae and accomodation in Phrae

Day 4

Visit Indigo Factory & Colouring Experiences.Depart to Lampang. Accommodation in Lampang. Saturday night market experience in Lampang

Day 5

We will depart to chason and visit Wat Chai Prakit temple in the morning followed by Chason National Park Hot Spring. In the afternoon we will drive onto the Coffee triangle in Thepsadet and head back to Chiang Mai

THAILAND COFFEE ADVENTURE 4 (5 days 4 nights): January 14th - January 18th 2020

Day 1 - Adventure and Coffee

Adventure to TAK. On the way, visiting Karen Coffee Village in Lamphun Province (PAKA).


Staying 1 night in Mae Sot

Day 2 - Local Coffee and Nature Experience

Adventure to Umphaan Water Fall. Then visit Hmong Village, Coffee Cherry Picking and processing Experiences


Home Stay experience

Day 3 - Myanmar Border

Adventure From Umphaan to Mae Hong Son, Thailand - Myanmar Border Trip.


Staying 1 night Mae Sariang

Day 4 - Coffee Farming

Adventure to Mae la Noi Karen Village, Cherry Picking, Processing, African Bed and Coffee Tasting

Day 5 - Trekk and Departure

After Coffee Garden Trekking ,Going back to Chiang Mai and visit Hot Spring on the way

Minimum Age and Fitness Level
You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.
An average level of fitness and mobility is required to undertake this tour.


Travel Insurance
Appropriate travel insurance is compulsory to participate in this tour. Evidence of travel insurance policy with the following minimum criteria will be requested ahead of the trip:
Overseas medical and dental expenses;
Coverage of USD 200,000 for repatriation and 24-hour emergency assistance/rescue;
Personal liability;
Pre-trip cancellation, trip interruption and travel delay; and
Loss of baggage and personal effects.
