South East Asia Road Trip

17 days / 16 nights

South East Asia is home to some of the most exotic wonders of the world. From the culture to the history, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia have it all. Temples, Food and people make the most of South East Asia.

South East Asia has always been a coffee producing region. Vietnam and Indonesia being the biggest producer of Robusta Coffee, the region has also the opportunity to grow Arabica. Southern China, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar have recently experienced an increase in popularity, including specialty.

This trip has been designed over 2 years going back and forth to South-East Asia to create the ultimate best road trip for coffee lovers by coffee lovers and local people.

Unique Date

Day 1 - Day 8: Thailand Coffee Adventure

Day 1: First, we will pick you up at the International airport to your hotel.

Day 2: The tour starts with city tour of Bangkok by a local.

Day 3: The next day, you'll have a free day to rest before the big coffee trip.

Day 4: Flight / Transfer to Chiang Mai


In Northern Thailand, Coffee harvest season is usually from the end of November to February. We will visit Yao & Aka Hill Tribe villages, roastery, cafe ,Hot Spring and Singha Nature Park. You can enjoy Hill Tribes Village,Picking up Coffee Cherry,Coffee Processing,Drying,Brewing,
Cupping ,Activities In Hot Spring &Nature Park.

Day 5: 08:30 Gathering in front of LCMT Office→9:00 Visit Roastery & Cafe in the Suburbia of Chiang Mai, Roasting Thai Coffee, sorting, brewing and Tasting→ 11:30 Lunchtime,Coffee break, Talk with Cafe owner & staffs→12:30 Depart to Cafe managed by a Barista Champion.

13:00 Barista Champion Cafe→Barista will give us lecture about Coffee & Latte Art 16:30 Go back to Hotel.

Day 6: 08:00 Gathering in the lobby of Hotel →10:00 Visit Hill tribe Village in Lampang Province,Start Trekking around Coffee Farm, Picking Coffee Cherry, Processing Experiences→12:30 Lunchtime, Coffee Break.

13:30 A Unique Coffee in the world roasting & tasting experiences→15:00 Driving &  walking around the coffee road and some another coffee villages in a neighborhood →17:00 Depart to Mueang Lampang →18:00 Arrive at hotel in Lampang City (breakfast included)→Free Time and take a rest.


Day 7: 08:00 Gathering in the lobby of Hotel→09:40 Coffee Break near the Phayao Lake (Phayao province)→10:20 Depart to Chaing Rai Province →11:40 Arrive at Akha Village in Chiang Rai →Lunch Time@Good View Restaurant.

13:00 Walking around Coffee Farm, Processing, Picking cherries experiences →15:30 Depart to Lanna Onsen→ 16:00 Lanna Onsen Hot spring →17:20 Back to Chiang Rai→18:00 Arrive at hotel in Chiang Rai →Free Time and Take a rest.

Day 8: 08:30 Gathering in the lobby of hotel→9:00 Arrive at the White temple→Depart to Singha Park →10:00 Arrive at Singha Park. Free time (Huge nature Park in Chiang Rai). You can enjoy walking around tea & flower garden, zoo, cycling zipline and so on→12:30 Lunch time at Restaurant in Park→14:30 Depart to Chiang Mai→17:30 Arrive at LCMT office & break up

Day 9 - Day 14: Laos Nature and Coffee

Day 9: Transfer to Pakse, Laos at Alisa Guesthouse or similar.

Day 10 - Day 12: Bolaven Plateau Coffee Farm visits and Waterfalls by Motorbike. We will start our adventure in Laos with a 3 days on a motorbike around the Bolaven Plateau to experience the breathtaking waterfalls and small coffee farms of the region. We will sleep in home stays and guesthouses near principle villages.

     - Day 10: motorbike ride through the Bolaven Plateau and visit Tad Pasuam (Tad=waterfall). In the afternoon we will have a coffee farm your at Mr. Vieng's place - a traditional Laotian farmer cultivating coffee, peanuts, spices and more.

     - Day 11: motorbike ride to Tad Soung where we will have to trek through the rocks to reach a magnificent waterfall. In the afternoon we will ride along the loop to reach Paksong where we will have a nice cup of coffee at Jhai Coffee Roasters

       - Day 12: Heading to Pakse, we will stop at Tad Fan and Tad Champi before visiting Lak40 coffee shop and farm. We will understand the coffee farming and processing details. In the late afternoon, we will head back to Pakse and rest at Alisa Guesthouse or similar.

Day 13: Coffee Journey workshop: From Seed to Cup

Depart from hotel to the coffee farm in the morning. Learn how to ferment coffee and pick the right cherries with an experienced farmer. You will also experience new farming techniques.

Lunch on the road back to Pakse.

In the afternoon, we will have an introduction to coffee roasting in small batch followed by a Coffee Brewing Demonstration and Tasting. 

Day 15 - Day 17: Cambodia Wonder of the World

Day 15: Departure and transfer by bus to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Depart to the Lao/Cambodian border and transfert to Siem Reap.  

Day 16: Angkor Temple Tour

One of the remaining wonder of world. The Angkor temples was the former capital of the majestic Khmer Empire. Start in the early morning a tour across 5 to 6 temples including Bayon, Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Koh Ker, Preah Khan. 
Immerse yourself into the ruins and grasp the full presence of those places.


Day 17: Transfer to Bangkok

Every stories come to an end. We will all go back to our first stop, Bangkok for a final farewells

Minimum Age and Fitness Level
You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.
An average level of fitness and mobility is required to undertake this tour.


Travel Insurance
Appropriate travel insurance is compulsory to participate in this tour. Evidence of travel insurance policy with the following minimum criteria will be requested ahead of the trip:
Overseas medical and dental expenses;
Coverage of USD 200,000 for repatriation and 24-hour emergency assistance/rescue;
Personal liability;
Pre-trip cancellation, trip interruption and travel delay; and
Loss of baggage and personal effects.
